Join us Friday, August 14 at 8 a.m. for a special Wake & Learn with members of our carnivore team. You’ll get an inside look at our new Tiger Trails and Den Academy and learn all about Thomas and Nisha, our Sumatran tigers. From their diets to their personalities, you’ll get to hear it from the ones who know these big cats best.
You’ll also learn more about what goes into caring for Thomas and Nisha, including their exercise, enrichment and overall well-being, while getting a closer look at their incredible new home.

The Children’s Petting Zoo will close at noon to give our barnyard friends and the team caring for them a break from the heat. Some animals may also choose to spend time in their indoor, air-conditioned habitats, so you may not see everyone during your visit.

This exciting new destination will give children and families even more opportunities to play, explore, imagine, and connect with animals and learn about Kansas agriculture.
The new Children’s Zoo will be home to a charming crew of animals, including alpacas, silky chickens, miniature donkeys and horses, and kunekune pigs. Guests will be able to get up close, feed, pet, and enjoy meaningful encounters with these gentle animals. 🦙🐷
Next door, the Play Zone will bring the fun with a farm-inspired space designed for climbing, exploring, creativity, and good old-fashioned outdoor play. 🌾

The adjacent Randolph Austin Family and the Merchants of Fairlawn Plaza Shopping Center Play Zone will provide a farm-inspired space where children can climb, explore, imagine and enjoy outdoor play.
