Enjoy a day of education and fun at the Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center. The Zoo is easily walkable and accessible to groups of all ages. We offer plenty of spaces to meet and classroom experience.

Fill out a group discount form, email groups@topekazoo.org to schedule your trip!

Schools that qualify must be Unified School Districts (USD) or private schools. Daycares, churches, home schools that are not district supervised, and universities qualify as, "other group," not as a USD.

Important Info:

Groups of 15+ are eligible for group rates.

  • Must register 48 hours in advance of your trip.
  • Students must remain with an adult, they are not allowed to walk around campus without an teacher/chaperone
  • Buses must use the group entry gate at the South Entrance.
    • Buses are not allowed in the North lot.
  • Full admission must be paid before entering.
  • Lunches are available with advance notice.

Tax Exempt/Payment Information
  • School/ Tax Exempt Groups MUST present a current copy of their tax-exempt form at the time of payment. Without this form, we will be unable process a transaction that is tax exempt. 
  • Form of payment must be a credit/debit card or check that has the organization’s name and is issued directly to the organization. Cash, personal credit/debit cards, or personal checks will NOT be accepted for tax-exempt transactions. P.T.O credit/debit cards or checks cannot be accepted for tax-exempt, even if the card states the school’s name. 
Group Rates

USD Shawnee County

  • Adults - $3.00 per person + tax
  • Seniors (65+) -  $3.00 per person + tax
  • Children (3-12) - $3.00 per person + tax
  • Children (2 & Under) - Free

USD Non-Shawnee County

  • Adults - $5.00 per person + tax
  • Seniors (65+) -  $5.00 per person + tax
  • Children (3-12) - $5.00 per person + tax
  • Children (2 & Under) - Free

All Other Groups 

  • Adults - $8.25 per person + tax
  • Seniors (65+) -  $7.25 per person + tax
  • Children (3-12) - $6.75 per person + tax
  • Children (2 & Under) - Free
Group Rate Policies
  • To receive a group rate, group must include at least 15 attendees.  
  • Payment must be under 1 transaction; individuals in the group cannot receive a group rate if they are paying separately. This includes extra parents/caregivers attending field trips.
  • School district chaperones are considered part of a group rate. Parents pay regular admission rates.
  • Refunds for group rates, when paid by check, cannot be made on the date of the event but will be mailed in 5-7 business days from the event date.
  • Large organizations such as school groups, daycares, senior living facilities, etc. must pre-register at least 48 hours in advance so that we may avoid over-scheduling.
  • Children who are part of a zoo family membership must enter as part of the group, not as a member.
General Zoo Policies
  • This is our animals’ home, and we ask that guests be respectful. Groups that cannot respect the animals or are caught crossing barriers will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. 
  • There are designated areas within the zoo for schools/organizations to eat on grounds. School lunches can be stored inside our South Admissions/Group Entry if required. We ask that teachers and caregivers monitor the students with their food and trash cleanup.
  • Admission gives guests entry into the zoo for the entire day- if a group must leave and would like to re-enter the zoo, simply show your receipt or stamp upon re-entry.

Buses/Parking

Please use the group entry near the South Entrance. 

• Parking: The Zoo has changed a bit over the last year. Make sure you know where to drop off, park, & check-in for your trip!

  • Upon arrival at the Zoo, please enter the South Lot, located off Munn Memorial Drive.
  • Drive through the lot until you reach the first street.
  • There is a designated drop-off area close to the Group Entrance, where you can drop off your group.
  • Continue to follow the road until you reach Zoo Parkway Drive, where you can exit.

For bus parking, please park in the designated lot near the South Entrance.  After dropping off your group, groups will be checked in at the Group Entrance.

BUSES DO NOT FIT IN THE NORTH LOT.

Want to enrich your time at the zoo? Schedule an educational program and get up close to some amazing creatures! The Topeka Zoo offers a variety of educational programs to complement your classroom curriculum. Programs are offered in one- or two-hour blocks.
