My Air’s lush ecosystem houses species that soar through the air and dwell within the upper canopy of trees. Guests will encounter rainbow lorikeets from Australia and gibbons from Asia, as well as songbirds, owls and porcupines native to North America.
The Topeka Zoo is delighted to reintroduce the white-cheeked gibbon as a featured animal at My Air. These small but captivating apes are a joy to observe as they swing from tree to tree and engage in playful mimicry.

KILO THE KINGFISHER
A 23-foot bird named Kilo opens its wings to you, climb inside Kilo’s feathered body before climbing higher up to Kilo’s nest.
REED & LOG CLIMBER
Kilo’s wings provide shade while climbing through reeds of water plants and a jumble of logs for Kilo to perch on.
CHANNEL CATFISH
A thrilling experience to run around, climb through or jump on these fish as they swim past the kingfisher.
DRAGONFLY
Weeble to and fro on the back of a dragonfly as you fly low through the water darting past Kilo and catfish.
LILYPAD
Jump on this wobble pad swaying back and forth as if floating on the water in our play pond.
