Protecting Wildlife for Future Generations
Our commitment to preserving biodiversity, protecting local wildlife, and engaging our community in meaningful conservation efforts. At the heart of our work is the belief that a thriving world for wildlife and humans alike begins with education, collaboration, and direct action.
Community Zoo, Global Impact
While we are deeply committed to local conservation, we also recognize our global responsibility. As part of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) SAFE (Saving Animals from Extinction) program, the Topeka Zoo is proud to be involved in the protection of several iconic species around the world. Through these and other global partnerships, the Topeka Zoo plays an active role in safeguarding biodiversity and advancing conservation practices on a worldwide scale.
We are committed to leading efforts in conservation, but we recognize that real change happens when we work together as a community. We are dedicated to engaging and inspiring our community to take an active role in conservation. Whether it's through hands-on educational programs, wildlife protection initiatives, or community science projects, we strive to create a lasting impact on the world around us.
