The Topeka Zoo is embarking on an ambitious, multi-year transformation designed to redefine the way our community connects with wildlife, conservation, and immersive education. This plan will bring world-class habitats, interactive experiences, and state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring the zoo remains a cherished destination for generations to come.
CURRENT PROJECTS
Tiger Trails transports guests into the forests of Sumatra, where Sumatran tigers prowl in a stunning, naturalistic habitat. Adjacent to tigers guests will find the stunning king vulture, a new species for the us. Centered between both habitats, Den Academy offers a hands-on STEM lab, allowing guests to explore the science of animal nutrition and conservation.
My World is an immersive experience where guests can connect with sustainable farming, explore interactive gardens, and enjoy fresh, locally inspired meals at our farm-to-table restaurant. Future phases will expand into My Air, My Water, and My Land, creating a dynamic space that highlights the connections between food, nature, and conservation.
Step into Lianas Forest, where clouded leopards and red pandas roam beneath a lush rainforest canopy filled with orchids and carnivorous plants. This immersive habitat brings the beauty of Southeast Asia’s jungles to life, offering unforgettable animal encounters and interactive experiences.
