ABOUT THE ARTIST

Sean Kenney is an award-winning artist from New York City who has been designing and creating art with LEGO bricks for over 15 years. He does not work for The LEGO Group, but he just might be their best customer.

Sean Kenney’s Animal Super Powers showcases Sean’s amazing ability to use his artistic and engineering skills to create incredible works of art that depict our natural world using simple toys. Much of Sean’s work illustrates his personal interpretations of the natural world and humankind’s connection with nature. This exhibition invites guests to see animals of the earth through a new lens, and to consider the amazing “super powers” that are being utilized every day. Sean hopes guests will enjoy his work, and that they will also be inspired to create great things!

Sean Kenney has authored nine acclaimed children’s books, guest-judged a reality TV show, and has been featured in publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, PBS Arts, BBC Arts, NHK Japan, ELLE, Wired, and more.
