Just like us, animals have their favorite type of music; from lullabies to classical to country! This sample of music was composed with Patas Monkeys in mind. This is called “Species-Specific Music”! It aims to promote relaxation, encourage natural behaviors, and improve overall welfare.
The notes are played at 140 bpm which is the same as a Patas Monkeys heart rate at rest! It also includes the sounds of Central Africa which is a Patas Monkeys indigenous habitat to promote a sense of security. Sounds of our own Patas Monkeys are included to boost socialization and provide a sense of familiarity.
