At the Topeka Zoo, we believe everyone should have the chance to experience the joy of wildlife. Our Zoo Access for All program offers discount admission to eligible individuals and families, helping ensure that cost is never a barrier to connection, education, and wonder. If you qualify for government assistance programs like EBT or SNAP, you may be eligible for reduced-price tickets to the Topeka Zoo. Learn more below and plan your visit today!
Museums for All tickets & memberships
Museums for All is a cooperative initiative between the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM) to encourage increased and regular museum attendance by low-income and underserved families. The Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center is the first zoo in the state of Kansas to sign on to this innovative community engagement initiative.
Any family that qualifies for state food assistance or WIC and is in possession of an EBT card (known as the Benefits Card) or WIC card can simply present the card or ID to receive admission for up to six people for $3 each or may purchase for $40 a Museums for All Family Basic memberships ONLY.
There must be at least one adult and one child 15 years old or younger to qualify for the Museums for All admission rate. Any EBT or WIC card is eligible for the Museums for All admission rate to the Topeka Zoo and Conservation Center, anytime during regular hours of operation. A EBT or WIC card holder can visit the Topeka Zoo as many times as they like and receive the Museums for All rate each time.
Museums for All memberships must be purchased in person at the zoo. Both new and renewing members will need to provide current proof of EBT or WIC for verification and a valid form of photo ID that matches their verification document.*
This discounted admission is valid only for regular daytime admission and does not include after-hours events or Zoo Lights.
Military Discounts
Active duty, retired, and veteran status, as well as those who are dependents or spouses qualify for the discount. Must have a government issued ID for each family member to receive the military discount of $1 off each admission ticket or may receive $5 off Zoo for Two or Family Basic Membership Plans ONLY.
Senior Discounts
The Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center welcomes guests of all ages. Guests 65 years and older receive $1 off general admission tickets and $5 off Zoo for Two or Family Basic memberships.
We have several services to help all guests enjoy their visit including rental of wheelchairs and electric scooters. These rentals are limited and are available on a first-come, first-service basis.
Topeka Zoo Passport
Topeka Zoo Passport provided through the Topeka and Shawnee County Library
- Adult library card holders can reserve a zoo pass up to 30 days in advance through the library’s website.
Passes admit up to 2 adults and 4 children. - If you need assistance reserving a pass, please contact the library.
Organizational Memberships
These will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and will include a memorandum of understanding.
Zoo Access For All tickets and memberships must be purchased in person at the zoo.

Common Questions Regarding Your Membership
Why do I have to show a photo ID when I use my membership card to enter the Zoo?
To prevent misuse of membership cards, we require the cardholder to present a photo ID when entering the zoo.

If I forget to bring my membership card, can I still visit with zoo for free?
Yes. Simply present your photo ID to the ticket booth and our ticketing representative will verify your membership. Or download the app and carry it with you all the time!

Can I replace a lost/stolen membership card?
If your membership card has been lost or stolen there is a $5.00 fee to order replacement cards. Please visit the Leopard Spot Gift Shop.

Can my babysitter bring my children to the zoo?
Your babysitter may accompany your children IF you purchased the Family Premium or Friends Giving Society membership levels. This would then allow entry for your babysitter/guest and the children listed on your card.

Can I bring additional guests to the zoo under my membership?
You may ONLY bring the family members listed on your card. The Family Premium, Zoo for Two, and Friends Giving Society memberships include admission for one or two non-designated guest(s) each visit. If you would like to bring additional guests to the zoo, you may purchase additional tickets.

Is my membership good for a calendar year or a year from date of purchase?
Your Topeka Zoo membership permits unlimited admission to the Topeka Zoo during normal business hours for one year from date of purchase.

I paid for admission to the zoo. Can I apply the cost towards a membership?
Yes! Your admission purchase can be applied to a membership purchase as long as the upgrade happens on the same day. Present your receipt to a guest engagement staff member. Only admission from the number of people on the membership will be applied.

I’ve purchased my membership online. How do I receive my card?
In an effort to cut our reliance on plastics, cards will not be automatically printed and sent to memberships purchased online including gift memberships. Please download the Topeka Zoo Travel Guide Travel Guide – Topeka Zoo & Conservation Center for a digital membership card. If you would still like a physical card, please use your temporary card on your receipt of purchase for your first visit and ask the guest engagement staff member to print off your card(s).
