Finance Director - The Finance Director is responsible for leading the day-to-day financial operations to ensure long-term financial sustainability, compliance, and accurate reporting. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this role provides strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, assumes primary accounting responsibilities, and oversees designated financial functions of the organization. The Finance Director plays a critical role in supporting the Zoo’s mission by ensuring sound financial stewardship, effective internal controls, and transparent reporting to leadership, the Board of Directors, and external stakeholders. Vet Tech - As a Vet Tech, you would assist with maintaining the Animal Health program, schedule and assist with preventative maintenance, participate in medical procedures, prep equipment for surgery & anesthesia, prep animals for surgery, test equipment pre-surgery, provide animal care for patients in hospital and undergoing quarantine, set up housing, treatments as prescribed, cleaning, feeding, and enrichment, provide laboratory services, maintain parasitology schedule for the animals, and maintain the pharmacy. Membership and Marketing Manager - The Membership and Marketing Manager leads the development, management, and growth of the Zoo’s membership program while driving innovative marketing strategies that increase attendance, membership sales, and revenue. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this position focuses on strengthening membership acquisition and retention and collaborates closely with the CAO and other departments to design and implement revenue-generating strategies that enhance overall attendance. Seasonal Keeper - This position performs duties that impact meaningful zoo guest experiences in the Adventure Trail while ensuring the animals in this area are receiving the best care. Responsibilities involve the care of the Lorikeet aviary (daily husbandry, enrichment, interaction with zoo guests; and guest feeding opportunities) according to USDA, AZA, and Topeka Zoo standards. It involves the care and monitoring of the Farm Yard (daily husbandry, interaction with zoo guests, and monitoring the area) according to USDA and AZA standards.
