Light Recycling

Light up the season, and keep it green! Bring your old or broken string lights to the Topeka Zoo for our annual Light Recycling program. From Dec. 1 through Jan. 15, we’re collecting holiday lights of all kinds to ensure they’re properly recycled instead of ending up in the landfill.

Simply drop your lights in the labeled bin in the main parking lot, quick, easy, and eco-friendly! Help us make the holidays brighter for our planet while you enjoy the magic of the season.
