VISIONS FOR THE FUTURE
Imagine yourself among splashing penguins, curious gibbons and meerkats or chattering otters. Our next masterplan project makes that possible by placing Kansas-based animals and exotic species from around the world into four themed habitats: My Land, My Water, My Air and My Farm. This project, known as My World, will be a dynamic concept for children of all ages, using interactive play, fun learning and exploration to engage their growing minds.

The iconic âFisher-Priceâ barn inspired the design of My Farm, where the doors âmooâ when opened. Children can safely explore everything from tractors to farm animals. Guests can interact with the barnâs chickens, alpacas, goats and pigs, as well as a donkey. A silo and barn support a pleasant sensory experience where guests can delight in the oinks, bleats, baas, heh-haws and clucks of the animals that call My Farm, home.
Childrenâs Zoo and Play Zone
The Childrenâs Zoo and Play Zone is where every visit is a celebration of joyous play and the spirit of Kansas.
At the Security Benefit Childrenâs Zoo and Play Zone, childhood wonder comes alive through the sights, sounds, and spirit of the farm. Inspired by the timeless charm of the iconic Fisher-Price barn, this reimagined experience blends nostalgia with fresh excitement â a place where families laugh, learn, and play together in a world alive with oinks, bleats, baas, hee-haws, and clucks.
Children can explore lively farm scenes, meet friendly goats, alpacas, pigs, chickens, and donkeys, and engage all their senses in a setting designed for discovery. At its heart stands an antique tractor, a proud tribute to the roots of all Kansans â a reminder that ours is an agricultural state that feeds the world and that hard work, care, and connection to the land are part of our shared story.
Alongside the barn is the farm-inspired play area that offers endless opportunities for joy â climbing, sliding, jumping, and imagining â while comfortable guest amenities provide shaded seating, gathering spaces, and conveniences that invite families to stay, relax, and enjoy hours of fun together.
Together, these vibrant new spaces celebrate connection: between families, between children and animals, and between community and nature. Itâs a place where the laughter of todayâs children honors the roots of our past and plants the seeds of care, curiosity, and compassion for the future.
My Airâs lush ecosystem reflects the upper canopy of tropical rainforests, where vibrant species thrive. Guests will encounter rainbow lorikeets from Australia.
My Play offers a playful sensory experience that encourages climbing and exploration. My Play will be a gathering place for friends and family. Where new friendships begin and flourish and old friendships are renewed. Sensory experiences and climbers nurture cooperative play where children interact, encourage and learn from each other. As well as places where children can find solitude to ponder and observe.
