It can be hard to look forward to Monday, but here’s a little bit of brightness to look forward to next week. Zoo Lights presented by Evergy tickets go on sale Monday, November 1.

Though you might still be in the spooky, Halloween spirit, it’s never too early to start planning your holiday outings. To keep the fantasy of Zoo Lights, tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets will be sold in 30-minute intervals. Once purchased,  you are not limited to time once inside the event, and can enjoy the many festivities with your friends and family.

You won’t want to miss Zoo Lights in its second year. We’re doubling the fun in 2021! Last year, we only covered half the Zoo in lights, but this year, we’re covering the entire Zoo with lights, including the Kay McFarland Japanese Garden. 

Here are some new things we’re introducing this year:

Mask Mondays

While masks and social distancing is always welcomed and encouraged, every Monday, all visitors and staff will be required to mask up. This night was thought of with those who are immunocompromised and those who prefer to take extra precaution when out and about. This night is for you!

Private Igloos

Enjoy a cozy night tucked away from the cold with board games, popcorn, and other activities. With multiple food and beverage add-on options,everyone is sure to enjoy their time in this Winter Wonderland all evening long. Whether celebrating a birthday, anniversary, or having a night out with friends, elevate your experience with your very own private igloo!

Santa’s Reindeer 

Not only will the Jolly ol’ St. Nick be here, he’ll be accompanied by some very special guests-- Reindeer-in-Training straight from the North Pole! These magical creatures will be here for the entire event. They will be available for a hands-on petting experience, but remember: because they’re in training, they’re still getting used to people, so they may choose to stand farther back in their yard until they are feeling more comfortable.
