GIVING ZOODAY

#GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. For more information on #GivingTuesday visit  www.givingtuesday.org

Here at the Topeka Zoo, we celebrate #GivingZOOday. This zoo wide holiday is about the impact zoos and aquariums have on their communities by engaging visitors to be stewards of the environment and save species from extinction. It’s also about how these institutions give back by mentoring their staff and volunteers to support a wide range of causes.

This year #GivingZooday is focusing on the new future exhibit Giraffe and Friends! You can help pave the way (literally!) by donating or purchasing a personalized brick that will be featured on the giraffe pathway leading into the new facility.

Donations for #GivingZooday as part of #GivingTuesday starts on Tuesday, December 1st.
