“When I (the bride) was younger I used to love attending camp at the Topeka Zoo, but I honestly wasn’t sure about having my wedding there. My mom first mentioned it and I thought she was out of her mind. We were getting ready to sign another contract and my mom called and said, ‘Quick, run to the zoo first!’ As we learned more about what the Topeka Zoo offered, and started envisioning our wedding taking place there, we fell in love! This venue checked all the boxed for us. We wanted something fun and outdoors that could also be romantic. We knew it would be the perfect place to start our lives together. The Topeka Zoo allowed for a beautiful ceremony site and intimate photos. We were also able to show off our adventurous side by tossing my bouquet to the hippo and painting with the elephants.”  – Christal Coufal, Married October 7th, 2017
