Facility Rental

Make your next business or personal event a little more exciting! The Zoo is available to rent for corporate and family functions, including meetings, seminars, retreats, reunions, parties and picnics. The following buildings are available for events:

Gary K. Clarke Education Center

The Education Center, which can accommodate up to 140 people, includes a kitchen and restroom facilities. The facility includes tables and chairs, screen, podium, sound system and stage.

  • Weekday rental – $100 per session
    Choose 8 a.m. to Noon (or) 1 to 5 p.m.
  • Weekend rental – $60 per session
    Choose 9 to 11 a.m., Noon to 2 p.m. (or) 3 to 5 p.m.
  • After-hours rental – $35 per hour (see below)

Security Benefit Pavilion

This open-air pavilion can accommodate up to 75 guests. It includes tables, chairsand electrical access. The pavilion is lighted.

  • Full day rental – $100 for full day (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
  • Half-day rental – $50 for half-day (four hours or less)

Event Extras

  • Zoo admission – $5 per person (admission is not included in rental rates)
  • Mini train tickets – $1 per person
  • Carousel tickets – $1 per person

After Hours Rental

The Gary K. Clarke Education Center is also available for after-hours events (after the Zoo closes at 5 p.m.). After-hours rental include admission for guests to tour the Zoo grounds, use of the Gary K. Clarke Education Center, the option to keep specific buildings open for tour, and the option to serve alcoholic beverages (permit required). After-hours rentals may not be available on certain days of the year and are not available on holidays.

  • Option to tour indoor exhibits – With after-hours rental, guests may tour the Zoo grounds, however, the indoor exhibit buildings will be closed unless otherwise rented. The buildings may be kept open for your after-hours event at a rate of $35 per hour for a maximum of three hours (5 to 8 p.m.). The Tropical Rainforest may not be available after-hours depending on lighting conditions.
  • Option to serve alcoholic beverages. Groups may be permitted to serve alcoholic beverages on Zoo grounds; however, a permit is required. Alcoholic beverages are only permitted once the Zoo is closed to the public (after 5 p.m.). Guests will be expected to dispose of cups, bottles, cans and trash properly and must ensure that they are not scattered around the Zoo grounds. Additional charges will apply if trash is not disposed of properly.
