Birthday Parties

Want to host a birthday party to remember? Set a date for your child’s next party at the Topeka Zoo.

We offer birthday packages year-round. All parties take place indoors at the Gary K. Clarke Education Center and last for two hours. You can choose from specific themes that can include programs, an animal visitor, a tour, a peek behind the scenes, and a bag of feeder food for the Children’s zoo and waterfowl ponds.

Zoo Explorer Party

$125 for FOTZ members |  $145 for nonmembers

This package is perfect for party animals who want to spend their birthday exploring the zoo on their own!

The package includes:

•    Personalized cupcake cake decorated with a photo of your favorite animal

•    Ice cream cups and juice

•    Plates, napkins, utensils and candles

•    Admission to the Zoo for 15 people

•    For more than 15 guests, add $5 per guest

Zoo Naturalist Party

$150 for FOTZ members |  $180 for nonmembers

Sit back and relax with a party theme of your choice while our education staff entertains your party guests with a live animal program.

•    Personalized cupcake cake decorated with a photo of your favorite animal

•    Ice cream cups and juice

•    Plates, napkins, utensils and candles

•    Admission to the Zoo for 15 people

•    Education program and mini-zoo tour

•    Special animal visitor

•    Choose a theme: African Safari, Jungle Journey, Wild America or Jaws & Claws

•    For more than 15 guests, add $5 per guest

Party Extras

Party packages not wild enough? We offer additional items that can be added to either party package listed above:

• A bag of duck/goose/goat food (enough for about 25 small handfuls) – $20 per bag
• A stop behind the scenes on your tour to elephants, giraffe, hippos, bears, or lions – $50 per area
• Additional cupcakes – $10 per dozen

A $30, non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your party date. Parties must be scheduled on Saturdays or Sundays during one of the following timeslots:

•    9 to 11 a.m.

•    Noon to 2 p.m.

•    3 to 5 p.m.
