Some animals are more visible in the day than they are at night. Others are more active at night than they are during the day. Temperature also plays a role in determining what animals are given access to their exhibit at night.

Self-Guided flashlight tours are now available on Thursday and Saturday evenings from 5:30-8pm. Bring a flashlight and enjoy your journey through the Topeka Zoo. Glow sticks may be purchased at the admissions booth. Additionally, if your group does not have a flashlight, some flashlights are available to borrow for your tour.

Now through the end of the year, your Topeka Zoo will be open on Thursday and Saturday nights from 5:30pm-8:00pm. The zoo is an amazing place to see at night! Many of the animals are more active at night. Guests will experience things during the evening hours that are not available during the day.
Visitors can bring a flashlight and stroll the zoo grounds visiting the animals and enjoying holiday...

The Polar Ice Cap is open for the season at the Topeka Zoo. The Polar Ice Cap is open daily, Monday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. Evening hours are available Thursday and Saturday from 5:30 to 8:00 through the end of December.
